I had a photographer, model and hair and makeup artist all set up but then the photographer cancelled on the day so with the ideas I had I improvised using my sister and previous images we had taken...

I chose a bright background as my collection is Spring/ Summer and the tones in the dress reflect well of the hot pink shade. I deally I would have shot this dress outside on a beach or a beach bar as that is the environment it would be worn.

I used a close up shot to show the folds and creases it the scarf aswell as the mixed tones that mesh well together.

I would have preferred to have professional photographs taken but overall i am pleased with the outcome of the ones I have taken.

Collection progress

I'm starting to see my collection coming together  with only 3 weeks to go i've still got a lot of work to do.

This is my Kaftan dress that can be thrown over a bikini or with a black basic underneath and accessories can be worn for night.

These are a good way to showcase the whole outfit and experiment with poses. I was interested in the night shots just in front of a tree so simple but it still tells a story to me.

Continuing my research i'm looking for freelance photographers and makeup artists in my area. I found nick hastings photography. Although he specialises in nature this appeals to me as it reminds me of Norbert Schoerners images of large landscapes which I previously blogged about.

I like this image of Moss looking youthful and not too posey. I may use this idea for my shoot but showing more of the garments and in colour.
